Our team consists of 5 full time Care Coordinators who are vital to the day to day running of our excellent service. The Coordinators are responsible for the management and coordination of client care packages from ensuring that all our clients have an up to date person centred care plan that reflects their needs to ensuring that carers are rota’d to visit our clients. Coordinators are the first point of contact for our clients and carers.
The team are a friendly bunch with lots of local knowledge and experience in care. Each Coordinator is allocated a ‘territory’ but they all work closely as a team to support each other.
All our Coordinators are either working towards or have achieved a Level 3 NVQ/QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. Most also have Institute of Leadership and Management Qualifications and are undertaking a diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care (Level 5). They also attend on-going training in all mandatory topics such as Safeguarding and others which are relevant to their role including Dementia, Mental Capacity and many others.
My role is to manage the care operations within Care Relief Team; I am responsible for the day to day management of our coordinators and I also supervise our Team Leader. I am one of the Registered Managers with the Care Quality Commission who regulate and inspect our service. I also manage the taking on of new packages and enquires along with dealing with recruitment.
I have worked for Care Relief Team for over 10 years and am “part of the family”. I started as a Carer and I have worked my way up to Team Manager.
I have gain many qualifications but my biggest achievement was my Level 5 diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care.
I have a kind and caring nature and enjoy making sure we are providing a high quality standard of service to make a difference to those that need us.
I love my cups of tea but no one can make it as good as me!
