Charity Fundraising 2016

As we say goodbye to 2016 and welcome in the New Year I thought I’d share with you a roundup of our charity fundraising for 2016.

Care Relief Team is passionate about helping local and national charities. We also like a good cake so make the most of all those kind of baking and eating charity days!

During 2016 we took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day back in June. Our team baked and bought cakes and buns for all to enjoy. We sold cupcakes and auctioned off cakes all in order to raise cash for the Alzheimer’s Society. We raised £200 thanks to everyone’s kind donations. More about that day can be found here:

Since then we held a small MacMillan Coffee Morning and raised cash by baking cakes for our employees to enjoy.

On the run up to Christmas we organised an ‘Elf Day’ which was a fun day for our carers to celebrate the festive period. This day was in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Care Relief Team’s Directors, Mark and Jane decided that this year instead of sending Christmas Cards we would make a donation to charity on behalf of our clients whom we would usually post a card. The company donated £500 to MacMillan Cancer Support. MacMillan Cancer Support wants to provide support to everyone with cancer so they don’t have to go through it alone. More about how the money donated is used can be found here:

Look out for information about our charity days during 2017, in the meantime, here’s some photos from 2016.

We’d also like to hear from you with suggestions of charities we can support over 2017, these can be national or local charities. Please contact Gemma or Phil by emailing with your ideas.
